More about us |
| |
 |
We, the people behind Kennel Rushcove, is a married
couple in the begginning of the 50's. We have been keeping dogs for many
years, and the springers we have today is actually our fifth generation of dogs. |
| |
|
Our first dog was named Pan, a tricolor English Setter (1968-1981). Pan
was first of all a family pet and an outdoor life companion, but was also used for
hunting. When this picture was shot, he was 14 years old. |

After Pan came the "Slabrador" Svarten, (1982- 1998),
and the Flatcoated Retriever Felix, (1987-1997), into our lives.
Svarten was our family pet, outdoor life
companion and sledge dog. With the kids or the luggage in the sledge, our skiing was never
a problem anymore. Even if Felix also first of all was our family pet and outdoor life
companion, it was with him we first discovered the joy of dog sports. He was trained both
for obedience and working, and it was with him we had our first stumbling steps in the
show ring.

It was, however,
not before our kids grew up and moved out we decided to establish our own kennel. We are
thanking our good friends in Kennel Ni-Na-Chi for their contribution when making the
English Springer Spaniel to become our breed. The fortune arranged things in such
way that Nina, Ragne and Jørn Kjellstrøm were expecting puppies after their Tessa,
(Ni-Na-Chi's Hot Fashion), when we were founding on which race to choose. Since we
had have an eye on their springer for a long time, the choice was easy. This is how Mia,
(Ni-Na-Chi's Dancing Flame), came into our household. Unfortunately, Mia
died young after suffering from glaukom. |

|
Our kennel plans did however not exceed in speed before we met Stig Arne
Kjellevold (Kennel Mollyway) and Frank Bjerklund, (Kennel Westbound). They introduced us
to the springer milieu, and it was from them we had Gilbert, (Mollyway Wild Rover), and
Tina (Inu-goya Silent Wings). Gilbert is shown at the picture on the right. |

Even if the dogs are taking most of our time, we still have time for other
things. Specially in the summertime when we are cruising around at our Yamaha Virago
XV1100. This is a picture
of Sylvi and the bike when we are having a coffee break on one of our many MC-tours. |
